Can be made in any size and shape. One shown is 1" hardwood dowel, cockatiels use 1/4 inch with 4 dowels instead of the 3 shown.  Width shown is 8 inches, can be made any length to fit in any cage or play area.  Has been used for many years and works great, including as a muscle toner for handicapped birds.  Dowels can be simply replaced (glued in) if destroyed by bird - expected for parrots.  Good chewing exercise.
